This "live" album was a success for the bluegrass world in 1975 when it was released as a double on vinyl. Covering traditional and modern bluegrass songs the Seldom Scene is also known for selecting songs outside the expected range of bluegrass tastes. Drawing from folk of the 60's and 70's along with contemporary Country music some of these songs have become bluegrass standards.
