JAMES REAMS 'James Reams - Walter Hensley & The Barons Of Bluegrass'
Type of Product: CD/Tape
Description
Walter Hensley—a great name from the early days of Bluegrass—appeared on records as early as the late 1950s’ (with Earl Taylor’s Stoney Mt. Boys and on his own Capitol and Rebel LPs). It’s great to see him back on the scene on this 13-song collaboration with Kentucky singer James Reams. Reams has a good voice and a nice way with a song, and Hensley’s banjo is as dynamic and hard-driving as ever. With a bunch of good songs and other solid accompanists, this is a really nice project that we can strongly recommend. LONESOME OLD HOME, CROSSING JORDAN, BRUSH ARBOR, GREENVILLE TRESTLE HIGH, WHO’S GOING ON DOWN TOWN, etc.
