Type of Product: CD/Tape

Description
Here finally, in marvelous sound, is a full CD of the legendary Texas fiddler, Eck Robertson, the first country musician to make a commercial phonograph record (in 1922). All sixteen of the tunes he cut in several sessions between 1922 and 1929 are here, including his fabulous versions of SALLIE GOODEN and BRILLIANCY MEDLEY. Robertson, one of the best-known and most influential of the Texas fiddlers, lived until 1975 and had a key role in the development of the Texas contest style of fiddling which remains strong to this day. Lovely presentation here, and a must for Fiddle fans and most old-time music lovers.
