Since her days with the New Coon Creek Girls, Ms. Bradley has been performing in the Bluegrass genre for over 20 years now, recording the occasional album for Pinecastle, Doobie Shea and other labels. This well produced album shows her fine voice to good effect, with excellent backing from pickers like Michael Cleveland, Andy Hall (dobro), Jesse Brock (mandolin), Stuart Duncan and others. She is joined on one track each by guest vocalists Larry Sparks (PASS ME NOT), Jim Lauderdale (ME & BOBBY McGEE), Steve Gulley (RITA MAE) and Marty Rabon (HOLDING ON TO NOTHING). Unlike a couple of previous albums that were overloaded with original songs, this recordings has a fine mix of material taken from different sources—GRANDMA’S GIFT, JULIA BELLE and the duet with Larry Sparks are highlights.
