CAROL ELIZABETH JONES 'Cataloochee'
Type of Product: CD/Tape
Description
Known as one of the better singers among today’s old-time revival crowd, Ms. Jones has a good album of 12 songs that show off her voice and vocal style very nicely. While her previous albums (some with James Leva) have mainly featured her original songs, this one is more impressive, with just two of her songs balanced out with a good variety of other material—it’s neat to hear her treatment of the Delmores’ I’M GONNA CHANGE MY WAY, Ola Belle Reed’s I’VE ENDURED, Jean Ritchie’s WEST VIRGINIA MINE DISASTER, NINE POUND HAMMER and Molly O’ Day’s lovely TOO LATE, TOO LATE.
