JOHN REISCHMAN & THE JAYBIRDS 'The Road West'

Type of Product: CD/Tape
Description
Canada-based Reischmann and his current band have an excellent, well-produced and very attractively packaged album that draws on material from both the old-time and Bluegrass traditions. Vocalist Trisha Gagnon does an excellent job on a variety of songs, backed by Reischmann’s mandolin, Jim Nunally on guitar, Nick Hornbuckle on banjo and Greg Spatz on acoustic bass. There’s a generous menu of 16 songs & tunes that includes fine renditions of ROUSTABOUT, HOP HIGH MY LULU GAL, YOU’LL FIND HER NAME WRITTEN THERE, AS TIME DRAWS NEAR, OLD REUBEN, HOME SWEET HOME, and IN THE FALL. Well done & Recommended.
