James Reams is a transplanted Kentuckian who now makes his home in Brooklyn, where he has put out 6 other Bluegrass albums previously. Here he has teamed up with Walt Hensley, the excellent banjo picker from Baltimore who has been relatively inactive musically since making some good recordings in the early 1960s with the late Earl Taylor, plus a solo banjo LP for the Rebel label. Here they from a solid, standard 5-piece traditional Bluegrass band that also includes Jon Glik on fiddle on a 12-track disc that includes songs from a variety of sources: OLD CANE PRESS, KENTUCKY MOUNTAIN, ROAD TO COLUMBUS, etc.
