Another good to excellent album from Virginian King, who had succesful recordings on WANGO, WEBCO and his fine first CD for Rounder, "These Old Picture". The songs here are not quite as good as on his previous album, though King gives them all good soulful treatment.With a lineup that includes Dudley Connell, Tom Adams, Tim Smith, Mike Compton, David McLaughlin & Marshall Wilborn, the backing band is superb, providing powerful trafitional accompaniment. Nice job.
