Carl Story was still in top form when he recorded this excellent album for Starday in the early 1960s, sporting one of his best ever bands, with the Brewster Brothers, Claude Boone and fiddler Tommy Jackson. A super collection of good gospel songs here done in powerful, spirited fashion. This is the type of sound that made Story a dominant force in Bluegrass gospel music for a decade or so. A welcome re-issue from Gusto, recommended.
