A wonderful re-issue here of an old County label LP recorded in 1971. Seckler, the great tenor singer for Flatt & Scruggs in the 1950s, was in top voice when he cut the bulk of this material with the help of the Shenandoah Cutups (Tater Tate, Billy Edwards, Hershel Sizemore and John Palmer). In addition to the 1971 LP, there are 5 other tracks from a rare cassette --only recording of Seckler and Willis Spears that was produced by the late Bill Vernon for Rebel in 1989. Seckler is superb on songs that he made his own such as SOME OLD DAY, MOONLIGHT ON MY CABIN, THAT OLD BOOK OF MINE and WE CAN'T BE DARLINGS ANYMORE. A great album back in print!
