This 2-hour, 14-cut DVD is definitely a jazz recording, but some may well be interested, as 3 names of the 4-member group are quite recognizable to Bluegrass fans. Don Stiernberg (a protŽgŽ of the late Jethro Burns), and North Carolinian Tony Williamson share hot mandolin breaks aided on guitar by Jeff Autry on guitar and Ben Tucker on acoustic bass. Recorded at the legendary Randy Wood's Pickin' Parlor, this DVD contains well played versions of such tunes as LADY BE GOOD, AVALON, SPANISH EYES and other pieces by Charlie Parker, Thelonius Monk, etc. The only tunes that will be familiar to most of our customers are MIDNIGHT ON THE WATER and LIMEHOUSE BLUES. Well presented.
