To he best of our knowledge, the late banjo picker Stringbean made 5 albums in his career which stretched from a stint with Bill Monroe's Bluegrass Boys in the 1940s to semi-stardom as a fixture on the Grand Ole Opry and the long-running Hee Haw show. He cut three albums for Starday and one each for the Nugget and Ovation labels. This 11 song disc is a re-issue of he Nugget album. It's a good & lively disc typical of Stringbean featuring his vocals & frailing banjo with simple guitar & bass backing.
