The adventurous Old Salt Union fuses influences from all sorts of music from classical to AfroPop on to a foundation with many elements from traditional bluegrass. Impressive in both music and vision, the band has created their own, recognizable sound, one that may not appear to those who tastes are more conservative. The album, which like the band doesn't fit in a neat category although bluegrass will have to do, contains nine original songs and a cover of Paul Simon's "You Can Call Me Al."
