Not to be confused with Norman Blake's first album for Rounder ("Home In Sulphur Springs"), this is a typically lovely collection of old time songs sung by Blake and his wife Nancy, with simple but appropriate backing. (In addition to guitar, Norman plays some dobro, fiddle, and mandolin, while Nancy plays guitar, cello and mandolin at various times. The album was recorded and first issued in 2004. Some of the 14 songs include HE'S COMING TO US DEAD, THE MERMAID, TAKE ME HOME POOR JULIA, WE PARTED BY THE RIVERSIDE, and ELLA REE.
