Two longtime Bluegrass veterans team up here for a solid, enjoyable 12 track set. Newton's background includes significant stints with Knoxville Grass and as a founding member of the influential Virginia Squires band. Steve Thomas is an excellent fiddler who has appeared on many sessions and has traveled with many top names in Bluegrass and country music. The duo gets some help here from Ricky Skaggs (clawhammer banjo), Scott Vestal (banjo), and Mark Wallace on acoustic bass. The dozen songs are, for the most part, well known standards like NOBODY'S BUSINESS, ARE YOU MISSING ME, KENTUCKY WALTZ, IF IT AIN'T LOVE, BLUE RAILROAD TRAIN, and THEGIRL I LEFT IN SUNNY TENNESSEE.
