Smartly edited a beautifully remastered by Rich Nevins it's a very generous sampling of 23 pieces that includes a number of real gems. Fans of the cowboy genre will enjoy everything here and old time fans will have to be stricken by the stark beauty of THE DYING RANGER by the Cartwright Bros., TOM SHERMAN'S BARROOM by Dick Devall, FUGITIVE'S LAMENT by the Delmore Bros and THE BURIAL OF WILD BILL by Frank Jenkins' Pilot Mountaineers. All of them classics of old-time music.
