JAMES BRYAN AND CARL JONES 'Two Pictures'

Price: $13.50 (excluding tax)
SKU: MAR-2001
Weight: 0.35 LBS

Product Description

Alabaman James Bryan is known for two fine albums of fiddle music on Rounder,
plus his lovely work on much of Norman & Nancy Blake’s early recordings.
Here he teams up with Jones for a very nicely done 18-piece collection of old-
time music (with Jones playing mostly guitar, but also some banjo and mandolin).
Many of the tunes are quite obscure and some of them, plus a couple of the vocals
are not all that exciting, but the 5 or 6 best cuts warrant rave reviews. But it’s all
unpretentious, solid and pretty music that most old-time fans will appreciate, and
we recommend the CD. 40 DROPS, BELLES OF BLACKVILLE, LAST LOOK
AT LONESOME ROCK, GRANT’S RANT, INDIAN WHOOP, VALE OF
SORROW, FATHER JAMES, HANG ON, etc.
