FRONT RANGE 'Back To Red River'
Another lovely album that beautifully combines the best of traditional & contemporary ideas in forming their distinctive blend of bluegrass. Leader Bob Amos is not only a very good lead singer, but an excellent song writer; 6 of the 13 songs here are his and they are all good, with particularly nice numbers in THE HILLS I CALL HOME, the haunting COLD NORTH WIND and a rerecording of the lovely SO MANY PATHWAYS. Nice arrangements of OVER IN GLORYLAND, ALWAYS BEEN A RAMBLER and the title tune. There are no weak spots on this album. First class bluegrass & highly recommended. PLEASE JOANNA, COLD NORTH WIND, FALSE SUMMIT, MAYBE THIS TIME, SUNNY SIDE OF LIFE, etc.
