NASHVILLE BLUEGRASS BAND 'The Boys Are Back In Town'

NASHVILLE BLUEGRASS BAND 'The Boys Are Back In Town'

  • $15.00

After 3 successful albums on the Rounder label, this Nashville based band moved over to Sugar Hill, where they continued to produce top flight albums that please both traditional and contemporary Bluegrass fans.  This—the first recording for their new label—shows the results of several years of experience and compares well with their Rounder CDs.  We do miss the powerful and distinctive touch that former mandolinist Mike Compton used to give the group’s sound, though Roland White is a more than competent replacement.  Finding good material to record has always been a strength of this band, and here there are more than enough fine cuts to make this album a winner:  the best include HARD TIMES, BIG RIVER, GHOST OF ELI RENFRO, THE BOYS ARE BACK IN TOWN, DARK AS THE NIGHT, ROLLING THROUGH THIS UNFRIENDLY WORLD, and ROCK BOTTOM BLUES.
