Suddenly there is a lot of Jimmy Martin material on the market --which is as it should be, as he is undoubtedly one of the key figures in the realm of Bluegrass music. This album lists 10 of his best titles, including such hits as WIDOW MAKER, OCEAN OF DIAMONDS, FREE BORN MAN, TRUCK DRIVING MAN, SUNNY SIDE OF THE MOUNTAIN, 20/20 VISION and even his classic gospel song STORMY WATERS. Customers should just be aware that these are Gusto re-recordings of his Decca classics. They are actually all good cuts in their own right, some very close to the originals that were cut with such luminaries as J.D. Crowe and Paul Williams. They do include some dobro and drums. This is solid music and a bargain at the price.
