RICHARD BENNETT 'Walkin Down The Line'

RICHARD BENNETT 'Walkin Down The Line'

  • $13.50

Bennett, who worked extensively as lead singer and guitarist in J. D. Crowe’s New South band, has a dynamite album here that features some excellent songs and a ton of stylish, hot, but thoroughly tasteful flatpick guitar work from Bennett and Tony Rice. GREENSLEEVES and ROAN MOUNTAIN RAG are the only two instrumentals, but there’s all sorts of lovely guitar work on the songs, which include three fine pieces written by Bennett and his wife Wanda Barnett (IF I COULD GO BACK HOME AGAIN, JOHNSTOWN FLOOD and THE RAIN POURS DOWN) and Bennett’s SOUNDS OF WINTER. Bennett’s best recorded work to date and a thoroughly satisfying example of some of today’s best contemporary Bluegrass. BANKS OF THE OHIO, PALLET ON THE FLOOR
