ROD MOAG 'Ah-Haa! Goes Grass'

Here's a Bluegrass treatment of 13 Bob Wills songs that works nicely. Moag, a university professor in Texas, by way of New York, Wisconsin & Missouri, sings & plays mandolin or guitar and has some fine musicians working with him, including Byron Berline, Johnny Gimble & Buddy Spicher on fiddles, Alan Munde & Jake Jenkins on banjo, and Mike Auldridge and Cindy Cashdollar on dobro. Harmony vocals are handled nicely by Russell Moore and Dayna Wills, Bob's niece. Working with some fine songs from the Wills repertoire the results are quite pleasing and worth hearing especially for those who appreciate both traditions. SAN ANTONIE ROSE, CONVICT & THE ROSE, DON'T LET THE DEAL GO DOWN, CORINNE CORRINA, TATER PIE, MY BROWN EYED TEXAS ROSE, FADED LOVE, etc.
