Bill Harrell has chosen a group of mostly old country standards for his new project, and they work well for him, as he picks an ample amount of lead guitar and works with a relatively sparse background on some of the songs. With son Mitch, Carl Nelson on fiddle and Hershel Sizemore on mandolin, Harrell provides nice versions of TENNESSEE BORDER, SOLDIER'S LAST LETTER, BAGGAGE COACH AHEAD, IT MAKES NO DIFFERENCE NOW, TROUBLE IN MIND, HOBO BILL'S LAST RIDE and the title song.
