This band that features the talented Bob Amos can always be counted on for tasteful, professional work on traditional Bluegrass with a contemporary edge. There's nothing wrong with this solidly done new release except that the material does not come up to the level of the band's previous releases. All of the group's earlier albums (including Amos' solo outing on the Hayden's Fery label) featured some superb songs by Amos, but here, starting with the very ordinary first track, MONTANA GAL, the listener is left waiting to hear something that rises above run-of-the mill material. The best tracks --SWEETEST FLOWER OF MY HEART, the title song and Rick Lang's BEEN DOWN SO LONG --are all well done and enjoyable, but can't carry the album. Still, a pleasant & well done recording by a good group.
