Joe Meadows, the excellent West Virginia Bluegrass fiddler who has played with the Stanley Brothers among many other bands, has been on the scene for many years now, and this new release shows that he is still in top form. Smooth on the two waltzes, and alternately sprightly or hard-driving on the other tunes, Meadows is a joy to listen to on this well put together collection that features all good tunes and fine backup work by a band that includes Jimmy Gaudreau on mandolin and Mike Munford on banjo. An excellent album recommended to any fan of Bluegrass fiddle music.
