Joined here by his grandson Richard(son of the late Merle Watson) Doc Watson continues his wonderful tradition of one fine album after another. Though Doc has recorded most of these songs before, the Watsons' treatment of the 14 songs here is still fresh and full of vitality, and I can't imagine any Watson fan who won't really enjoy this disc. Doc's wonderful versions of SUMMERTIME, HOUSE OF THE RISING SUN and ST. JAMES INFIRMARY alone make the record worth having.
