Lawrence picks some really nice lead guitar here with good assistance from numerous fine pickers such as Jim Mills (banjo), Jerry Douglas (dobro), Sam Bush (mandolin) and The Del McCoury Band (on two good cuts). The weakest aspect of the record is the singing --Lawrence's voice is ok but rather non-descript, with no rural edge to it. Still a nice project.
