Originally put out by Price on his own Primrose label, this is, in our opinion, one of the great fiddle albums, and those who missed it the first time around can pick up this re-issue on the Rebel label. Price's fiddling is superb, the choice of tunes is great and the accompaniment perfect. Price utilizes members of the Clinch Mtn. Boys for the solid backup, with the addition of Mike Bub on bass, and Adam Steffey plays mandolin on two tracks including the fine RUNNIN' LATE. Other great cuts include FLANNERY'S DREAM, PRETTY LITTLE INDIAN, WATSON'S BLUES and SUWANEE RIVER HOEDOWN. The slow tunes, KENTUCKY WALTZ and DARK AS A DUNGEON are beautifully handled as well. A fine, highly recommended album.
