Another well put-together album from this central Virginia contemporary Bluegrass band that is led by the singing and songwriting of Mike Andes. Andes has written 10 of the 13 songs on this CD, and while there doesn't seem to be anything quite of the caliber of "HEAVEN GOT AN ANGEL" it's all solid and well-written material that will help maintain his growing reputation as one of the better songwriters in Bluegrass today. Andes the singer is distinctive and easily recognized for his ultra-smooth urban voice, which is so devoid of any country overtones that it often seems out of place with a music that is essentially country-based. But the group has built up a significant following, possibly with those who prefer their Bluegrass without any "twang" or edge.
