MAC & BOB 'Songs For Country Home Folks, Vol. 1'

  • $15.00

These two blind singers, otherwise known as Lester McFarland and Bob Gardner, recorded extensively from 1927 well into the late 30s, and were influential in introducing many fine old songs to other artists, especially the “brother duets” of the 1930s. Their singing was quite stiff and formal, and they do not have much of a following today. This 22-songs disc is drawn almost exclusively from their Brunswick and Vocalion 78s of the 1927-1929 period.
