Leadbetter, who has become one of the more prominent dobro players over the past few years has surrounded himself with a huge number of super talented musicians for this very successful project. While his dobro playing is always featured, there is plenty of attention directed to the other instruments and the few vocals that very nicely serve to frame the flashy instrumentals --the vocals are noteworthy and include Steve Gulley on THERE'S MORE PRETTY GIRLS THAN ONE, Ronnie Bowman on TATOOS OF LIFE and a very nice FIELDS OF GOLD by Alice Vestal. The instrumentalists include Scott Vestal (lots of fine banjo work), Andy Leftwich (mandolin), Stuart Duncan on fiddle, Byron House, and Cody Kilby (lead guitar). This is one of the best instrumental albums we've heard recently. GLIDE PATH, MOON RACER, STEEL GUITAR RAG, etc
