DON RIGSBY 'Hillbilly Heartache' REB-1818-CD
Don Rigsby has become one of the most respected names in Bluegrass over the past few years. The fine mandolin player and superb lead & tenor singer has been a key member of several groups, including the Lonesome River Band, Longview and Rock County, as well as teaming with Dudley Connell on a couple of excellent records. He also was the producer of Larry Sparks' recent masterpiece, "40". Here he goes out on his own with a top-notch band and a nice variety of material in adding another fine recording to the Bluegrass library. Listen to his wonderful performance of KENTUCKY WALTZ and his soulful THESE GOLDEN FIELDS. A really nice album of traditional Bluegrass, recommended.
