GEORGIA MUDCATS 'Barefoot In The Hen House And Other Southern Delights'

  • $13.50

This old-time band from north Georgia had a good earlier CD that we still carry (GM-2001 “Across The Big Pond, $ 13.50): it’s a solid 4-member group made up of fiddle (John Grimm), banjo, guitar & bass. This album presents 22 songs & tunes: while some of the songs are rather ordinary performances, the group is at its best on solid, well played full band dance tunes like SALLY ANN, SISTER ANN MEDLEY, HELL BROKE LOOSE IN GEORGIA and the title tune. Some songs come off well, such as a very nice WILD ROSE OF THE MOUNTAIN. A well done & enjoyable old-time album. BOATMAN, RUBEN’S TRAIN, BOLL WEEVIL, WHITE OAK MOUNTAIN, etc.
