RICKY SKAGGS 'Best Of The Sugar Hill Years'

RICKY SKAGGS 'Best Of The Sugar Hill Years'

  • $15.00

Before he embarked on a country career that took him to the top of that genre, Ricky Skaggs made several LPs for the Sugar Hill label, including the one that actually launched his Nashville career: the “Sweet Temptation” album (SH-3706, $13.50). The bulk of the excellent material on this re-issue was cut between 1978 and 1982 and includes three tracks from the classic “Skaggs & Rice” LP, four from the “One Way Track” LP by Boone Creek, a lovely duet with John Starling (DRIFTING TOO FAR FROM THE SHORE) and a couple of songs done for Sugar Hill’s “World’s Greatest Show” album. It’s all fine material with a cast of other notables including Jerry Douglas, Terry Baucom, Bobby Hicks, Sharon White, J.D. Crowe, etc.
