ALBERT HASH 'I Wonder If I Can Git Ya To Tell Me That Story Of How Ya Made Yer First Fiddle' HRC-150-CD

Albert Hash (1917-1985) was a popular and influential old time fiddler in the mountains of Southwestern Virginia—the same area that gave us E.C. Ball and Wayne Henderson, among others. This CD presents him playing 34 old tunes & songs in a home made field recording setting, with no accompaniment. In these 1976 recordings, Hash introduces many of the pieces with some basic commentary. Hash shows a very heavy G.B. Grayson influence by including nicely played versions of no less than 13 songs & tunes associated with the great old-time duo Grayson & Whitter (OMIE WISE, ROSE CONLEY, I SAW A MAN AT CLOSE OF DAY, etc).
