One of the great Bluegrass mandolinists, Frank Wakefield, was one of many, but one of the first to be inspired by Bill Monroe. Here he plays a number of Bill's instrumentals with good backing from Audie Blaylock, Michael Cleveland, Tom Ewing and Marshall Wilborn, with Ewing, Blaylock and Tom Mindte taking the vocals.
