A nice idea here, as David Grisman and others present 16 songs selected from the repertoire of Doc Watson and Clarence Ashley. There's no shortage of excellent picking here by Grisman, (mandolin & mandola), Keith Little (banjo) and Jim Nunally (guitar) --unfortunately the vocals are not up to the quality of the picking. Songs include SHADY GROVE, WILLIE MOORE, WALKING BOSS, LONE PILGRIM, CUCKOO BIRD, TROUBLE IN MIND, etc.
