One of a crop of talented new groups on the scene, this 6-member band has a lot going for it in the singing of Missy Armstrong and the songwriting of mandolin picker Jeff Rose. The supporting cast is solid as well, and the album should have appeal to fans of both traditional and contemporary Bluegrass. Ms. Armstrong contributes a soulful version of AMERICA THE BEAUTIFUL and the group does a nice job with TRAVELING THE HIGHWAY HOME and the unexpected I CAN SEE CLEARLY NOW---not a Bluegrass song, but the group makes it work quite well. Eight of the thirteen songs are Jeff Rose originals.
