This Danville, Virginia based Williams is well known regionally as a guitarist and singer, but he is probably better known for his songwriting abilities. He has won prizes for his songs at the annual Merlefest festival, and he has played in a number of regional Bluegrass bans, some that included his wife Jeanette, an excellent artist in her own right.
