A nice job here by an unusual combination of musicians: Chris Brashear, Alice Gerrard, Jim Watson and Cliff Hale. The 16 songs and tunes are well chosen and a nice mix that includes pieces with an old-time, country or Bluegrass flavor. There's a lot of switching instruments, but essentially Brashear plays fiddle, mandolin and guitar, Alice plays guitar, banjo & piano, Jim picks guitar, mandolin and bass, and Cliff plays bass and some guitar. All share in the lead and harmony vocals. ARE YOU LONESOME TONIGHT, SIX MORE MILES, SOME OLD DAY, TRIALS TROUBLES TRIBULATIONS, POOR LITTLE ORPHANED BOY, I'LL BE THERE, JUST KEEP WAITING TILL THE GOOD TIMES COME, etc.
